The Exeter Saracens newly formed Ladies section is finishing their inaugral season with a bang! With an original group of 5 players training throughout those dark, wet and windy winter months, they now have a squad of 19 signed up for the 2020/21 season!

With a such fantastic Girls section, it was only a matter of time before the call came for Sarries to develop a Ladies Rugby programme and we are pleased to see it building such momentum.

Training takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm and is currently being run in accordance with the RFU COVID-19 guidelines; with an emphasis on social distancing and hand hygeine. However, with experienced coaches in Adam Rooke and Jared Evans, the challenge of creating fun and engaging sessions has been managed to great effect. Evans explained that the focus of training at the moment is predominantly skill based with elements of conditioning and competition to keep training varied and constructive.

With four sessions still remaining the Ladies are still looking for players to build their squad in the coming months and hope to book their first fixtures once the season gets underway! If you'd like to join our friendly bunch of girls, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the club. We welcome Ladies of any age and ability, and would like to emphasise we are very much a development squad with a mix of complete beginners and those with previous playing experience. Saracens really does cater for all!

Up The Sarries.
